Swachh Bharat, Digital India score poorly, top rating for Railways The National Democratic Alliance government under Prime Minister   Narendra Modi   has kicked off a two-part survey where the people will rate its policies and initiatives as it completes two years in office. Thousands have already joined in to answer the 30 questions covering anything from   foreign policy   to signature schemes such as Swachh Bharat,   Digital India   and Make In India, hosted on the citizen engagement platform mygov,in. While Make in India, ease of doing business and controlling corruption figure somewhere in the middle of the ratings, other schemes such as Swachh Bharat, Digital India and unearthing   black money   have scored the least.   Make in India, PM likely to tell Apple's Tim Cook Manufacturing in India is going to be the top talking point when Apple Chief Executive Officer (CEO)   Tim Cook   meets Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, it is learnt. There may not be any announcement just yet, but a source in the government confirmed that the PM is likely to tell Cook that India would want Apple to manufacture in India. The discussion between the two may also revolve around the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government's stand that Apple cannot just import and sell refurbished iPhones in India without setting up a manufacturing facility in the country. The government is also expected to convey to Cook a decision that it has taken on waiving the local sourcing conditions for Apple so that it can open its fully-owned branded retail stores in the country. The department of  electronics  and information  technology  has sought a 271 per cent increase in the planned  Budget  outlay for 2016-17, at Rs 9,531 crore. For 2015-16, the planned outlay for the department was Rs 2,568 crore and the revised estimate stood at Rs 2,700 crore. Maharashtra   expects an  investment   of Rs 4.6 lakh crore across sectors like ports, industries and  textiles  during the Make in  India  week starting on February 13.
