In a joint statement released after talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Donald Trump, the two nations also called on Islamabad to "expeditiously bring to justice the perpetrators of the 26/11 Mumbai, Pathankot, and other cross-border terrorist attacks perpetrated by Pakistan- based groups." India has given fresh evidence on Pathankot attack: Nawaz Sharif

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif today said India has given fresh leads relating to the Pathankot terror attack and Pakistan is verifying the facts to bring the perpetrators to justice. “I have received fresh leads from India on the Pathankot attack and we will look and examine those evidences given by India. We could have hidden it or forgotten it but we asserted that we have received the evidences,” Sharif said on a day when US President Barack Obama termed the Pathankot terror strike as “another example of the inexcusable terrorism that India has endured for too long”. “Pakistan has an opportunity to show that it is serious about delegitimising, disrupting and dismantling terror networks,” Obama said in an interview.  Read Full Article Over Here :  Business Standard News

Veterans pay homage to Pathankot terror attack martyrs

Pathankot attack: Operation enters third day, more forces rushed to air base

The operation against militants holed up at  Pathankot  air base entered the third day today after explosions and firing continued intermittently overnight. Security forces had yesterday killed one of the at least two terrorists on the second day of the attack in which seven security personnel lost their lives including a Lieutenant Colonel of the NSG. Four terrorists were eliminated on Saturday when they had struck at the air base. 4 terrorists killed in gunbattle at Air Force base in Punjab

Suspected Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists from Pakistan today attacked an Air Force base here, killing two air personnel while four terrorists were killed in an operation that lasted more than five hours, an attack that comes just a week after Prime Minister Narendra Modi made an unscheduled visit to Lahore.  The air base is located near the border with Pakistan.  “The gunbattle between terrorists and security forces ended after more than five hours,” Punjab Police ADGP (Law and Order) H S Dhillon.  “However, the area was not sanitised yet and the combing operation continues,” he said.  At least four to five militants, believed to be from the  Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist group , in army uniform launched the attack at 3:30 a.m with an aim of destroying the air base, a top security official said.
