India denies visa to US commission to report on freedom of religion

A US agency on religious freedom scheduled to visit India to discuss and report on the conditions in the country has been denied a visa by the Indian government.

A three-member delegation of US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) wanted to make a one-week visit starting today to meet with government officials, religious leaders and activists in India.

NSG to take up Pakistan, India's membership requests this week The Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) 2016 annual plenary, which begins in   Seoul   on Monday, will take up membership requests from both   India   and   Pakistan   on June 23-24. According to   Dawn , Pakistan submitted its membership application on May 19, a week after India, which applied on May 12.
