Bajaj Auto unveils new bike made from warship metal


Bajaj Auto, India’s second biggest motorcycle manufacturer, on Monday unveiled V15, a new motorcycle partially built using metal from INS Vikrant, India’s first aircraft carrier. Besides being a new product, this is a completely new brand by the Pune-based company, which has signalled a departure from its earlier ‘two brand only strategy’ that was made up of Pulsar and Discover.

Despite having a new 150cc engine, Bajaj will position the V15 as a commuter motorcycle rather than a sport-oriented bike targeted at the youth. Read Articles

NSG to take up Pakistan, India's membership requests this week The Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) 2016 annual plenary, which begins in   Seoul   on Monday, will take up membership requests from both   India   and   Pakistan   on June 23-24. According to   Dawn , Pakistan submitted its membership application on May 19, a week after India, which applied on May 12. With massive global support, India stands as a favourite to join the 48-nation group, with an active support from the United States, Russia, Britain, France and other world powers. China, however, stands as an obstacle to India's application, arguing that it would enhance a nuclear competition in South   Asia   by isolating Pakistan. The Congress, CPI(M), and the AAP have sought an inquiry into allegations against Jay Shah   A political storm hit the Narendra Modi-led government and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after a news website reported that a company run by party chief  Amit Shah's son , Jay Amit Shah, recorded a 16,000-times increase in turnover in only a year after Modi became the Prime Minister and the senior Shah the party president.
