Iran private jet crash: Turkish heiress on bachelorette trip among 11 dead

The last videos posted to her account showed her and friends enjoying a concert by the British pop star Rita Ora at a popular Dubai nightclub A Turkish private jet flying from the United Arab Emirates to Istanbul carrying a group of young women crashed tonight in a mountainous region of Iran during a heavy rain, killing all 11 people on board, authorities said. The doomed aircraft days earlier carried a bachelorette party bound for Dubai. Iranian state television quoted Mojtaba Khaledi, the spokesman of the country's emergency management organisation, as saying the plane hit a mountain near Shahr-e Kord and burst into flames. Shahr-e Kord is some 370 kilometres south of the capital, Tehran. Khaledi later told a website associated with state TV that local villagers had reached the site in the Zagros Mountains and found 11 badly burned bodies in the wreckage. India wins 2016 Kabaddi World Cup beats Iran 38-29 India fought off a tough challenge from Iran to win their third successive   Kabaddi World Cup 2016   here on Saturday. In perhaps the most exciting match of this World Cup, the Indians overturned a first-half deficit with a superb second-half performance to win 38-29. India have thus won all the three Kabaddi World Cups held so far. They have beaten Iran in the finals of all the three editions. The experienced Ajay Thakur played a crucial role in India's win with his raiding prowess. Iran enjoyed a stronger start and dominated the first half. But the Indians showed superb fighting spirit and aggression to pull off the win. Thakur had started the revival early in the second session by claiming four consecutive raid points. Iran could decide fate of first global oil deal for 15 years

The fate of the first global oil deal in 15 years could be decided on Wednesday when OPEC members travel to  Iran   to persuade the country to participate in a deal to freeze output levels, possibly by offering Tehran special terms. Dominant OPEC power Saudi Arabia and non-OPEC Russia, the world's top two producers and exporters, agreed on Tuesday to freeze production levels but said the deal was contingent on others joining in - a major sticking point with Iran absent from the talks and determined to raise production. Saudi Arabia, Russia agree oil output freeze, talks with Iran to follow

The Saudi, Russian, Qatari and Venezuelan  oil ministers  visited Doha for a previously undisclosed meeting - their highest-level discussion in months on joint action to help prices recover from their lowest in more than a decade. Ali al-Naimi, the Saudi Arabian oil minister, said that freezing production at January levels was an adequate measure and new steps to stabilise the market could be considered in the next few months. Saudis sever ties with Iran over embassy, mission attacks

Saudi Arabia has severed diplomatic ties with regional rivalIran following attacks on the kingdom’s embassy and consulate in the Islamic Republic over the execution of a prominent Shiite cleric. Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir announced the cut in relations late on Sunday and gave Iranian diplomatic personnel 48 hours to leave his country. All Saudi diplomatic personnel in Iran have been called home after an attack on the kingdom’s embassy in Tehran and a consulate. The decision came after the mass execution of  Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr  and 46 others the largest carried out by Saudi Arabia in three and a half decades laid bare the sectarian divisions gripping the region.
