US accuses Russia of harassing diplomats Washington has delivered high-level complaints to Moscow about accusations of increasing intimidation of American diplomats in Russia, the State Department said. "We see an increase and we take it seriously," State Department spokeswoman Elizabeth   Trudeau   told reporters at a press briefing on Monday. Russia raids on Syria city kill 23 civilians Russian warplanes pounded an Al-Qaeda-held city in northwestern  Syria  before dawn on Tuesday killing 23 civilians in the heaviest strikes in months, a monitoring group said. Dozens of civilians were also wounded in the raids on Idlib, a provincial capital held by  Al-Qaeda  affiliate  Al-Nusra Front  and its allies since March last year, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said. Al-Nusra is not party to a Russian-and US-brokered ceasefire that went into force on February 27 between Moscow-backed government forces and Washington-backed non-jihadist rebels. "The air strikes are the most intensive on Idlib since the beginning of the truce," Observatory chief Rami Abdel Rahman told. The Saudi, Russian, Qatari and Venezuelan  oil ministers  visited Doha for a previously undisclosed meeting - their highest-level discussion in months on joint action to help prices recover from their lowest in more than a decade. Ali al-Naimi, the Saudi Arabian oil minister, said that freezing production at January levels was an adequate measure and new steps to stabilise the market could be considered in the next few months. Indo-Russia agreement on competitive research projects

The Union Cabinet was today “apprised” of an agreement signed between  India and Russia  for joint implementation of competitive research projects in areas of basic and exploratory sciences. The agreement, signed in May last year, is valid for a period of six years and could be extended through mutual consent between Department of Science and Technology(DST) and Russian Science Federation (RSF). It provides for competitive research grants to Indians and Russians for joint implementation of projects. 

Netflix to stream in almost all countries, skips China

Video streaming company  Netflix  Inc (NFLX.O) on Wednesday launched its services in 130 countries, covering almost the entire globe except China, as part of efforts to counter slowing growth in the United States. Shares of the company, whose popular shows include “House of Cards”, “Orange Is The New Black” and “Narcos”, rose 5.5 percent to $113.60 in afternoon trading. Russia's Putin hosts PM Modi for private tete-a-tete, dinner

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was tonight hosted by Russian President Vladimir Putin for a private tête-à-tête at Kremlin during which the two leaders touched upon issues of mutual interest for both countries. The meeting took place hours after Modi arrived here to a red carpet welcome. Putin also hosted a private dinner for Modi. “Building Druzhba-Dosti over dinner.
