From today, Reliance Jio's 'Monsoon Hungama' to offer Rs 501 JioPhone

The offer will begin at 5.01 PM on Friday, the timing that reflects the Rs 501 price tag of the JioPhone Mukesh Ambani-led  Reliance Jio  has advanced by a day to July 20 the launch of its monsoon 'hungama' scheme that would offer its JioPhone to customers for Rs 501, a company source said. Earlier, in the annual general meeting of Reliance Industries, Ambani had announced that the scheme will begin from July 21. The offer will begin at 5.01 PM on Friday, the timing that reflects the Rs 501 price tag of the JioPhone. The registration for new JioPhone is already live on the official website of Relaince Jio. "Jio will start monsoon hungama scheme from 5.01 pm on July 20. Even the timing has been kept to reflect effective price of the phone," the source told PTI. Trai nod to Jio free offer till December 3 The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) on Thursday said   Reliance Jio   can offer its free promotional offer till December 3, also clarifying that tariffs offered by the Mukesh Ambani-led firm were not predatory or discriminatory. This means new customers won’t be able to avail the offer after December 3 and Jio subscribers would have to pay as per the tariffs announced by the company. Customers who have subscribed before December 3 will enjoy benefits till December 31. Reliance Jio to offer free Wi-Fi at 6 stadiums for T20 World Cup

Mukesh Ambani-group owned  Reliance Jio  will offer free  Wi-Fi   services during the  T20 World Cup   across six stadiums in country. The services, under the name JioNet, will be available to the spectators of the cricket matches in Ferozshah Kotla in Delhi, Eden Gardens in Kolkata, Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru and cricket stadiums in Dharamshala, and Mohali, according to company officials. RJio to raise Rs 15,000 cr in India's second largest rights issue

Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd (RJIL), the unlisted subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) on Monday announced a plan to issue 15 billion equity shares of Rs 10 each to the existing shareholders (to raise Rs 15,000 crore) ahead of the launch of the  4G telecom services  in April. This is the second largest rights issue announced after State Bank of India, which had raised Rs 16,700 crore in January 2008. RJio’s shareholders include RIL - which owns close to 99.16 per cent stake while around one per cent is owned by the Nahatas of HFCL in a personal capacity. This means 99 per cent of the Rs 15,000 crore will come from RIL’s coffers. As on September last year, RIL had cash equivalents and investments of Rs 87,911 crore. RIL’s board of directors is meeting on Tuesday to announce its December quarter results and is expected to take a call on the investment. RIL has invested Rs 30,000 crore in RJio in the form of equity and also provided guarantee to RJIL’s debt obligation...

RCom, Jio enter 800 Mhz spectrum sharing pact

Ahead of the commercial launch of Reliance Jio (RJio) in April, the Ambani brothers on Monday inked the spectrum trading and sharing agreements for 800 Mhz spectrum, which will bolster RJIo’s spectrum holdings.
